Finance Policy

The board shall appoint an auditor to audit a financial statement which is presented to the Board and a copy sent to Delburne Village Council.

At the November meeting the board shall prepare a budget for the coming year. A copy to be sent to Delburne Village Council for approval by December 31st.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT:

Monthly financial statements including current year budget and year-to-date expenses will be prepared by the treasurer and presented to the board for approval.

Fiscal year is January 1st. - December 31st.

GIFTS AND DONATIONS

Donations of books or other reading material are given without attachments and with the understanding that they may be sold if not required by the library.

PETTY CASH:

A float of $100.00 shall be available. This will be used for library incidentals and postage.

SIGNING AUTHORITY

The Chairperson and  two Board Members will be signing officers. Two signatures will be required on all cheques.

GRANT APPLICATIONS

The treasurer and library clerk are responsible to pursue any grants applicable.
